OFG said,

I have tried to bring truth to the blogs, but your hearts have turned to stone and your ears and eyes are closed.

Really? Do you mean this? Do you not see the irony in judging those on this blog this manner?

I think it would be just the opposite, since we are "seeing" so many problems... our eyes and ears are open and those who deny the very visible problems are the ones with their eyes and ears closed.

As far as stony hearts... I think many on this blog have broken hearts. Not stone, but wounded and bleeding.

Wedge and Lin,
Thank you for speaking to the post by 4545. It is not about US but about God's Word.

SOTL,
I love you,sister,you know that.

PLEASE lets all be humble and gentle as doves. We don't have to convince anyone. The facts are there and everywhere.

What time tonight will we ALL be praying ON OUR FACES before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords tonight???
Won't that be precious???
Lets set a time and all be faithful.
Let the 4545's and whoever fume on the blog or whatever at that time.
Doc or 25+ or Tim or Nass???? Want to set a time for us??

....Here is the problem, we(My Family) are prayed up on this and feel that Dr. Gaines is the man for BBC. Thats all I need.....

Tim says:

So your problem is that your "feelings" are that Steve Gaines is the man for BBC.

Well, I could pray all day and perhaps be led in one direction or another, but it would be irrelevant in the light of the written Word of God.

The Word of God has standards that are a requirement for a pastor and those standards have been repeatedly broken by Steve Gaines.

God does not do his deepest work in the shallowest part of our being, which is our emotions or feelings.

I remember once in my own life as an idiotic teenager that I prayed about something that was clearly outside the will of God according to the written Word. I felt that since I had prayed about it and had not been struck dead that it must be the right thing to do.

However, it was God in His Overflowing Grace and Mercy that did not take my life on the spot. It was God that taught me to respect and obey His Word regardless of my personal feelings.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

I have been around long enough to know something about those that read this blog and perhaps some that post on it.

There are some that "feel" like they are saved at times and at other times they do not "feel" that they are saved.

If this describes you please read the following passage to from the Bible.

You Can Know

After you have finished reading it read it again.

You Can Know

Read it over and over again. Meditate on the Word of God.
Verse 10 says we can know because the witness of God is within us.

You Can Know

Please even if you already have the assurance of your salvation read this passage and know the promises that God has made in this passage.

I actually agree with you about the large sets and tons of cast members however I don't want to tear down JW and Dr. R in the process of airing our thoughts. That's all!
*******

You didn't hear me downgrading those two men. In fact it has nothing to do with SG or JP either. When JW brought the SCT to Bellevue, he brought it right. It has evolved by the influence of newer members who came and added to the presentation. All of this was applauded in everything I read back when it all began to expand. I do not have ANY inside facts on whether or not there was any resistance to the changes or not whether by Pastor or by JW. When I look at the current situation in general at BBC and the men who are running the WHOLE show, I think that trusting, busy Dr. Rogers was duped by--no, not men--but by Satan himself. (Eph 6:12) Even those "men" of whom I speak are being duped by Satan. I am being attacked by him and have been previously duped by him. Who hasn't at one time or another? That's what the Bible says in the verse I mentioned, so that's the truth. Right?

I will never speak ill of Dr. Rogers or Jim Whitmire. I love and admire them both and have been blessed way too much by their ministries for over 28 years to ever speak evil of them. I think they are both Spirit-filled men who always have sought to do the Lord's will. No, you are inferring that I have in some way, indirectly sullied their reputations. It would have been best left unsaid altogether on this blog. I have an email address where you could write me in private for discussion of something like this. In fact, one of the reasons I am still caught up in this conflict is because of the Christ-honoring manner that these two men have led our church through many years. They are no longer here, but I knew where they stood and it was at the foot of their Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

That is why I keep saying this--

JESUS IS LORD OF ALL!

Nobody of self-importance can take that away. NOBODY. HALLELUJAH!

The CHANGE we are standing against is that the Word of God has been changed and perverted from the pulpit.

It begins and ends with the pastor disobeying /ignoring/perverting Gods Word.

If you have come here to cast doubt, cause trouble and try to further the PDL agenda then you may need to go back to the four walls of the church building formerly known as Bellevue Baptist Church with the "thought police" tactics. Why so angry? Most of the people on this blog realize that BBC as it is now is not for them. The die has been cast.

They are actually moving on and talking about checking out different churches or even starting to worship together. Why does that make you so angry? Because it differs from what you think about worship?

I have not heard one thing on this blog about how they would like to worship (except Junkmail teasing us with a link about a pub church in England) that would not honor God. As a matter of fact, it seems they were more concerned about honoring God in Worship of Christ than anything else.

Your anger over this seems out of place. It does not fit.

One of the chief complaints is that SG ignored sin in the camp, and decided that a heinous crime was 'under the blood'.

A few days ago, James Sundquist announced that Steve Gaines should die. I asked that he be rebuked for such a sinful remark, but his wicked statement met with implicit approval.

Those who gave this twisted man their silent approval have no room to complain about SG. He is truly your pastor, and you are his disciples.

Would anyone care to speak up?

Security thought that the girl had been banned from BBC. She had not been banned, no one has said that she was banned, even now.

They came and escorted her out of the sanctuary, handcuffed her, got in her face, and used the F word, and called the police to come and get her because they were having her arrested for tresspassing.

The police came and told the security guys to uncuff her and told the mother to take her home.

The police said that they had never seen ANYTHING like this at a church.

David Coombs has apologized to the girl, but to date, no one else has and the ONLY reason he did is because the parents contacted him.

BBC STEVE GAINES "CELEBRATION" = HANANIAH

I hope all of you see the parallel between Steve Gaines and company of false prophets saying good things are happening to BBC and Hananiah's false prophesy that good things were going to happen to Israel. Here is the account:

Jer.28 Verses 1 to 17:

[1] And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,
[2] Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
[3] Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:
[4] And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
[5] Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,
[6] Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.
[7] Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;
[8] The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.
[9] The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.
[10] Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.
[11] And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
[12] Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
[13] Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.
[14] For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.
[15] Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
[16] Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.
[17] So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

It does to me too.

Read again verse 15: "Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie."

Just to add onto lizzie's statement....

Back in biblical times, death was a common punishment. However, that does not mean when quoting that scripture, someone's calling for someone's death. 9:28 PM, March 31, 2007

Friends, I am astounded at some of the error of scriptural understanding I see on the blog. I am no theologian but some of this stuff is very basic if you really study.

We must take scripture in whole...the Whole counsel of God. Judgement begins at the house of the Lord. NOt with the world...but Christians..each other who make up the true church.

Paul taught us that we must purge the church of sexual sin. We are taught in scripture the qualifications of an elder. We are taught in scripture to be on the look out for wolves who deceive and twist scritpure. It is all there.

We can 'forgive' all we want but it does the person who does not repent no eternal good. Church discipline in America is non existent which is why BBC has the problems it has now.

We would rather be tolerant and fake in love to be liked
and accepted by the group than to rebuke a brother in sin to keep him from hell. Is that love? NO it is not and I am thankful for those who love me and rebuke me.

Those who are in Christ do not wander very far away from the narrow road. When they do, God chastizes them and brings them back. Do we sin? YES. The question is: What is our ATTITUDE toward our sin. Does it break us. Does it appall us? Can we live with it easily? (1 John)

The answer to that question may determine whether or not we are really Born Again. Because when we are, God gives us a heart of flesh replacing the heart of stone (Ez 36) We are given a new nature which make us sensitive to our sin...every day...all the time.

I don't know about anyone else but repentance is a daily thing for me. I am so wretched that God cannot even look at me but I am so blessed that when He looks at me...He sees Jesus standing in my place. Praise Him!

Who crucified Jesus?

The answer is: God

Why? Because He is perfect Justice and we all deserved to be wiped off the face the earth. So HE became SIN for us. What happened at the cross? It was not the beatings, the nails, the mocking or the crown of thorns. It was because God brought down His full fury and wrath upon Jesus while He was hanging there. HE got what we deserved. The total wrath and worse...separation from God. That is why He said, "Why have YOu forsaken Me? Then said, IT is Finished!

Does this pierce your heart? Does it make you weep? Are you overcome with love for Christ because of this?

Tomorrow we celebrate His entry into Jerusalem. He cleansed the temple after He got there...go read about it...tonight.

God wants us to love Jesus with all our heart and soul.

I pray that all our hearts will be turned to really worship our Savior. Grace and Peace

I really think you need to e-mail Mr. Sundquist and ask him these questions directly. Ask him to clarify. I certainly did not ascertain what you have accused him of from his original post.

I've got many obligations, reading this blog is not one of them. You might argue NASS has that obligation since she created it. I'm confident God will not hold me accountable for failing to read every post on this blog. I bet he would rather me put that time into His word or prayer or with my family or working or visiting my elderly parents.

If you feel obligated to read every post and police this blog, then I think you need to reconsider your priorities.

These are my priorities:

1. God
2. Family
3. Church/Work

The blog isn't exactly church, but I refuse to use it to my advantage while ignoring those who pollute it.

Are you referring to Truth Rules? That's another one that is playing us for stupid and laughing about it. All of these people who come here and talk "real" or "mad" or whatever they can to try to get us to respond (especially if they think we are buying into it)are actually one or maybe two persons. They are probably very young, maybe friends of SOTL's little demon, and either have separate computers or cellphones glued to their ear. Regardless, "they" are no longer to be considered serious bloggers. They are mischievous, bad little boys.

Tim,
If I may quote 2 Tim 3:
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,
7 always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

These are the outsiders. Only they aren't outside anymore, are they? They're right here.

I'd be overjoyed to confront JS per Matthew 18, but since he's just a name on a blog who doesn't answer emails that's not really possible. He's not a member of our church, so it's not possible to remove him. Many people did 'read into' his post, and it's been a popular subject of conversation around church.

Tim, do you remember 'faithnhope?' The two sisters in the Lord who used to post here together? Faith and Hope were in my small group Bible study, and used to bring your name among others up for prayer.

If you've never listened to one of his sermons, I'd recommend that you do so. You will hear the gospel proclaimed clearly, and if I understand correctly this is not something that is done in a PD church.

I really think you should make the trip to Bellevue and see with your own eyes what's going on.

It is a small thing to me in comparison to men that are to be in leadership of the church that;

etc....

It is a small thing to swallow knats and yet not be choked by a camel.

solomon said...

tim,

How can I get my point across to you clearly?

Whether a man is in church leadership or is simply a lowly servant, his sin is the same in God's eyes. Steve Gaines' sin has been broadcast for all the world to see, but that doesn't make it worse than the transgression of any other man.

In some ways, the sins committed on this blog are more far reaching than anything preached from the pulpit of BBC. No one in Russia is going to watch a church service from Memphis tomorrow, but a squabble like this has a universal appeal.

The sins on this blog must not be overlooked. They must be exposed, confronted, and decried. It is up to the godly people who know the scriptures to do that, to live a life worthy of the calling they have received.

Tim said...

Just a quick note further..I have no vote on what is posted or not posted on this blog. I have no control over what is deleted and what is not.

Solomon,

Your remarks and your honesty are appreciated.

Having heard Steve Gaines preach, I still appreciate the invite.

I would have a hard time accepting any pastor’s preaching who has run his sheep away ‘on purpose’. It isn’t possible to be a good pastor and a bad sheppard simultaneously. I could never accept a pastor who has lied, straddled a fence in the manner in which he did, etc., etc., etc.

I don’t think I am fighting a battle. I am merely sounding the warning.

You and I will just have to agree to disagree. No harm there.

aslansown said...

Tim,
I think Solomon is lookind down the road to a day when we will need to begin the healing process at Bellevue in earnest. He is asking all of us to make sure that we are as absolutely pure in heart, mind and spirit as possible.

We not only have to know that we are rigth, but that we are right in the right spirit. Is it not the best thing to "put on the mind of Christ?"

We can ill afford to bring bitterness with our ideas. we will need to be building as many bridges of trust and fellowship as possible and a spirit of bitterness prevents this.

I am not accusing anyone secifically in this regard. Only warning against the future.

aslansown,

I beg to differ with your assesment. It appears to me that instead of dealing with the sin within our own local body that Solomon would prefer that efforts be concentrated toward those that are perceived to be from without.

I harbor no bitterness toward these men. But it is high time that someone spoke the pure truth without trying to sugar coat every word to appease the masses.

We as a congregation have been lied to. We as a congregation have been belittled and ignored. There are certainly many in leadership that need to hear the alarm and wake up and realize that God will not be mocked. That which a man sows he will also reap. These have sown the wind and will reap the whirl wind.

What are your thoughts on Mark Sharp's last letter? He spoke against the disgrace at Bellevue, but then expanded his attack to the entire SBC. Was this a practical approach? Wouldn't it be wiser to purify our own church first, and then expand our influence? To shore up the home front, so to speak?

Those from outside are distracting us. Sin must be spoken against, wherever it comes from. We do have a vote, and it's as simple as posting 'no, that's not right'.

For example,
oc said...
Solomon said, Steve Gaines' sin has been broadcast for all the world to see, but that doesn't make it worse than the transgression of any other man.

OC,
You have spoken inconsistently with the scriptures, according to my limited knowledge. Granted that while the qualifications for elders is spelled out, the Bible nonetheless say to everyone 'be holy for I am holy.' There is no lesser sin. The instant each of us sins we deserve to be struck down and sent to hell, but praise God a sacrifice was made for us. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus."

I don't see any first, second, or third degree sin in the Bible.

Solomon is saying that it is possible that we have had too much help from outside and that we need to look carefully after our own first.

Let's engage in a lot of self-examination first and as the scripture tells us to make ourselves clean.

and then replied:
Um, you are not a prisoner. For what reason have you chosen that you and your family (who are looking to you for leadership?) must suffer? I am truly interested, not picking a fight.

I now answer:
Yes, I feel like I'm home, because I am! :o) My dear husband (DH) started leading us in church at home in October of last year. It has been a truly worship-filled experience to be led to the Throne room by a man of integrity. He is not ordained by man, but I know he has been called by God to preach the Living Word of God.

We have 3 young girls, and all of us are saved. Our Pastor can spend his time focused on teaching and helping us grow deeper in our relationships with God and with each other. It's fun and freeing ~ You might consider trying it. It sure would beat prison, yes?

Lin,
Regarding the emerging church movement, you said, "My guess is that once they all decide they have found the absolute truth, the gig is up which means the conversation will actually never end because they will never agree to any absolute truth. Was that clear as mud?"

Yes, I actually understood that! :) And I agree -- since the foundation seems to be postmodern thought, which denies the existance of absolute truth, it would be hard for them to come to any definitive conclusions. I think that's why it is difficult to define just what the movement is and what they believe. Much of what they focus on is criticism of what has come before and statements of what they don't believe.

You also made reference to me "teasing us with a link about a pub church in England". I admit I was being lighthearted, but it wasn't completely teasing. The idea of a church in a worldly place makes me uncomfortable, but I am not sure it is a bad as bringing wordly things into the church. I was serious in my subsequent posts saying that I would like to see more discussion on just what should be considered compromise with the world. I strongly suspect that each person on the blog would have a different idea of just what would or wouldn't be "wordly" or appropriate in a church worship service, but I'd be interested in an opportunity to delve into it further.

Well the great day for the announcement has arrived. This will be a little more complex than it appears. As I stated from the beginning, some will be happy and some angry over this announcement. I specifically parsed my words to avoid any portion of my statements prior to this to contain any untruths. Today the Commercial Appeal did have references to my anticipated announcement. And as I suspected those who exhibit less emotion in their thought and those more cynical, logical in their thoughts have discovered the truth. The more emotional thinkers and I like to call them the “me thinkers” (those who only think of how it affects them personally) would react as always. They would speculate and channel their thoughts to effects and gratifications. But here goes…..

And hats off to NASS for her insight…..

Happy April Fool’s Day – April 1, 2007

I am sure you will see the printed date referenced in your Commercial Appeal Edition. The bulletin at church will reveal this day as well. Sorry Lucy and Concernedsbcer if you placed trust in the anticipation of this announcement and expected more. I truly didn’t intent to hurt anyone feelings and yes I did tell the truth all along. And this brings me to the main points of this entire anticipated announcement posting. First it shows how truth taken outside its entirety can be distorting and allows for erroneous assumptions. Second it shows what I believe to be the larger concerns about this blog, the emotional toll. Many of you are angry now over what this anticipated announcement has brought. The time of which has historically been a time of hoaxes. Yes you will say that one should not make light during such a serious time within our church. And my rebuttal is that if you truly concerned yourself about our church then you would not be in the 24/7 mode of working to destroy what you once loved. It all reminds me of a bitter divorce. Once sides are taken then it is “Katie bar the door” time because the gloves are coming off. And who are we fighting? Fellow Christians, brother in Christ!

Why does one feel the need to correct the beliefs of others? And please save your self-righteousness replies of how you believe that the majority and the leadership are outside the Scriptural teachings of the Bible. Doesn’t majority have a place in congregational approval? I have read enough on this blog to know that most of you feel right in your call to arms. But what if your ways are wrong? And speaking of those wrong ways, do you think that suicide bombers are wrong in thinking it’s a direct route to heaven? But there is little you can say from an emotional position which will change their course of actions. Even providing democracy hasn’t helped. The point here is that people who honestly believe in what they are doing doesn’t translate into being the right thing to do. When did it become alright for societies to praise the destruction of New York’s Twin Towers where innocent people were killed? Much of the Middle East rejoiced in the success of the destruction of others. And why did they rejoice….their religious beliefs? And if the truth is told many of you would have rejoiced today if the announcement had been the resignation of Bro. Steve Gaines. And you would have been rejoicing over the topping of a man which God has set apart. And why would you rejoice….your religious beliefs? In that case, then you as well as those rejoicing Muslims, need to revaluate your understandings of what is taught. There should be no rejoicing in either situation according to Scripture. Did not Jesus teach us to love one another? Were we not taught that no better love hath a man than to give his life for another? Did Christ not show compassion to those believers as well as the non-believers? But my friend tells me that she feels anger toward Steve Gaines for showing compassion to one who has sinned. Oh but woe to us who forgets that God loved us as sinners so much that he gave us his Son to die for us. I thank God for his compassion and mercy. I would rather have a pastor who erred due to showing compassion than one who hatred the sinner more than the sin. And this blog has shown me those who truly do hate the sinners more than the sins!

There might be a collective sigh of relief, but I don't think you'd have seen people standing and applauding or dancing in the aisles. This isn't about someone winning or losing. If you really cared about Bellevue or your fellow church members, you'd join them in trying to find out the real truth instead of trying to make them look foolish. So Folks,

I'm all dressed and heading out to GBC this morning to worship.

Can't wait to hear Mike Spradlin preach and Jim Whitmire lead the choir.

It'll be just like REAL church!

NASS, you are right. He should be ignored.

It's time to get dressed to go visit a church that still believes in the entirety of Scripture and where the ministers are held to the highest moral standards. I wish I could still say that about Bellevue.

I would like to elaborate for a moment on this childish prank.

There is a meaningful object lesson that has been presented to those that read this blog.

What has been done is exactly the same thing that the administration has done. They have chosen carefully parsed words to tell the truth without being honest. They have craftily and intentionally led many astray. They have proceeded to glory in the fact that they have deceived the hearts of many.

The object lesson has not proved that a lie will be believed by those that seek the truth. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Most of those here saw Truth Ruse as a Ruse and nothing more.

This deception is of the exact same manner that has been used by the administration. It is not a new tactic in the arsenal of Satan. It was first used in Genesis when the serpent deceived Eve. The model of speaking incomplete truth has been so effective that it has continue for over 6000 years.

Take note of this excellent object lesson that has been presented. Carefully parsed words can convey truth without speaking in honesty.

And why am I not surprised that the rebuttals are all about me rather than dealing with the thoughts? And Tim, have you forgotten that Christ can make us a new creature? Yes stripes can be changed....

In respect to NASS...so long and farewell...in my best Julie Andrews voice..

sTruthrules,

I recognized the possibility of your posts being an April fools joke shortly after your first post re: the announcement.

I wonder if you are Steve Gaines or Donna Gaines. You are not a child as some have suspected, you are much too calculated to be a child.

As Tim said, I also think you will soon find the joke is on you. I am praying the truth will come to light soon, I do not wish for the destruction of any man, but with some it seems that is the only way.

Everyone, please pray harder than ever before for the truth to be exposed. Bellevue Baptist Church is a body of believers that love our Lord Jesus Christ. These problems we are currently facing are challenges to make us even stronger than before.

To God be the glory.

Now I'm off to worship at Germantown Baptist Church, to hear a men of integrity in the pulpit and leading the choir.

Thank you, Tim. I thought the same thing but was too lazy to put it into words! It all depends on what the definition of "is" is. You have to admit that in eight years, we learned a lot from Bill Clinton! Apparently "truth ruse" did, too.

Dear Truth: What compassion has the Senior Pastor shown to his members? Show me just one.

What he has shown me is excuse upon excuse for "one" mistake after another.

As for your high school type prank, I don't think anyone took you serious except yourself. For most of the adults on here, we knew what today means to some small minds, April FOOLS Day is your one big day a year.

For the mature adults, it is the Lords' Day.

I am waiting for that ONE example of compassion shown by the Senior Pastor. No you won't be able to produce it. Rather you exhibit the behavior that many in the Catholic Church exhibited for way too long. It is called "swallow and follow." Well Praise the Lord some of those members are beginning to see what is going on. In time maybe you will too.

Watchman,
Thank you for that reminder. Pride does go before destruction.

Truth Rules lied! He declared April Food's Day to be a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!It IS NOT a major announcement! The publishing of the date April 1 is not a major announcement. In addition, if this is found in print in any church print out, then it's a first time.

I considered that it could be an April Fool's joke, but I thought better of leadership. I never dreamed they would be intentionally devious and stoop that low. It discredits everything he said in the past or will say in the future. He is a master liar. Unfortunately it is all too characteristic of some top nonleaders we know . . . maybe his cohorts.

TR is a snake. He intentionally set out to lie . . . to deceive. What will his name be tomorrow?
He will be back. He is too interested in what we think and talk about. They have to try to figure out what we are thinking to be able to keep deceiving us.

SG has never been my focus. Rather, I prayed for integrity to be restored in the pulpit.

Truth Rules, you are on dangerous ground. God will not be mocked. You reap what you sow and I think your reaping is on the way. Repentence will come for you too I hope. It will be more painful for you as you have lifted yourself to a lofty position and the coming down will not be pleasant.

I am not angry at you. I feel sad for you. You have too much time to spend on this kind of thing. You must be someone on the inside with all of your information so handy in your memory, and you are too interested in all of this to not be someone being paid to try to manage what is going on. This may be why some people refer to you as "the brute"? May God have mercy on your soul for this devious act.

Lwood was actually the first person to remind us that this Sunday was going to be April Fools' Day. At that time we came to know that this was indeed Truth Rules "big announcement". If you don't believe me, look back on the thread where this was first announced. The statements made this morning by "Truth Rules" (one of many names for a particular person who has claimed to be both man and woman and who IS in reality the actual person who was vaguely mentioned, though not by name but by inference, in the description of a recent event at the church) are, therefore, null and void. The conclusions he has drawn regarding our swallowing of this lie are rendered totally unfounded by the fact that we did NOT fall for some piece of "news" that was dangled in front of us as one would tempt a donkey were a dumb animal capable of being tempted. Rather, this inept fool has committed himself to the work of Satan by offering temptation to those true believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ who, being cast off from the building that once contained them all, now cling together in this modern day form of communication/lifeboat. We know by this ongoing trial that it is and always shall be true that

JESUS IS LORD OF ALL!

AMEN AND HALLELUJAH!

There wasn't. But I would like to take this opportunity to offer a friendly word of advice to the staff who prepares the "bread" for the Lord's Supper. Please don't prepare the unleavened bread on a damp, rainy day (like yesterday)! The solemnness of the occasion was unfortunately nearly shattered this morning by my discovery that my portion had the consistency of chewing gum, and I ended up having to pretty much swallow it whole. I think it's still about two inches away from reaching my stomach, and the grape juice sitting on top of it is burning a hole in my esophagus. Who knew the Lord's Supper could be hazardous to your health!

Solomon, you have so much false doctrine that I hardly know where to begin. I pray you will get into a deep study of scripture. Here are a few verses that I hope will illuminate some of the things you have commented on here.

James 3

1Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.

1 John 2

26I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. 27But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything--and is true and is no lie, just as it has taught you--abide in him.

My friend, get your teaching straight from scripture and stop going to see what others think.

1 Cor 11:27-30 says "Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died."

I have been a "reader" since September. I have only published once(during the switch-over & so my name was anonymous). Many times I have started to answer someone who continues to support the leadership, especially when they have scoffed at someone who is hurting or who has been seriously hurt. However, I didn't because I realized before I hit the button that I was replying in anger, albeit justified anger.

Today, I will not stop. YES, I AM ANGRY!!! Truth Rules, you are NO MATURE CHRISTIAN!! You did not speak the truth. You have every right to say and do whatever you desire. You can talk about people, you can mislead people, you can scoff at people, you can lie to people, anytime, anywhere. This is not what makes me angry. What makes me angry, actually, IT INFURIATES ME is that you chose to pull a childish prank on fellow brothers and sisters in CHRIST, on the LORD'S DAY!!!!! Not only is it the LORD'S DAY, it is PALM SUNDAY!!!!-- the day we celebrate Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the foreshadowing of the future entry into Jerusalem forever and ever!!! If there was one ounce of spiritural maturity, or discernment, or sensitivity of the Holy Spirit, you would never have pulled such a prank, not on the LORD'S DAY. In no way would the Holy Spirit lead in such an action, and no way would He have condoned such an action.

To all of you who support what Truth Rules did, you are in the same boat. GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!!! Truth Rules and all your cohorts (bepatient, ofg, 4545, and the bunch) God intends for us to honor His day. (REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY. Ex 20:8) In no way did you honor God. Please explain to me how you went to service this morning, raised your hands in worship, prayed, and learned from the Word of God, while all the while knowing you had purposefully and deceitfully conned fellow believers in the name of a practical joke? (It's a rhetorical question, there is no explaining needed. God's Word is very clear. HE DID NOT HEAR YOU!!!)(THEREFORE IF THOU BRING THY GIFT TO THE ALTAR, AND THERE REMEMBEREST THAT THY BROTHER HATH OUGHT AGAINST THEE; LEAVE THERE THY GIFT BEFORE THE ALTAR, AND GO THY WAY; FIRST BE RECONCILED TO THY BROTHER, AND THEN COME AND OFFER THY GIFT. Matt 5:23-24) You knew TR that you would cause anger to brothers and sisters in Christ and yet you did it anyway. Your presence in church this morning, or at anytime is not worthy, and it did not reach the ceiling. GOD SAID SO!!! not me.

To the rest, those who actually write, and to those who just read,
THIS IS BELLEVUE BAPTIST CHURCH NOW!! No longer is there any TRUTH!!! No longer is it a friend to the family and a family of friends. TR references to the suicide bombers remains me of another's reference to "Hezbollah". TR & his cronies have learned their lessons well from the administration.

To answer the question about "correcting" the beliefs of others. We are called to share the WHOLE WORD not just those passages we like. Jesus was, is and forever will be the TRUTH!!! He came speaking the truth. He came CORRECTING the beliefs of the others. Is it any wonder that the Pharisees, Sadducees, lawyers, and scribes could not stand Him? He CORRECTED their way of teaching and practicing religion. As long as God tells me to speak, I will speak the Word of God. If that bothers you, then you might better ask yourself (better yet, ask God) why it bothers you. If you don't care, then move it on down the road and stop playing Christian. Stop dishonoring the LORD'S DAY. (Read the judgement God placed upon Israel for not observing the Sabbaths and the Holy Days. TR I suggest you dig deep into the Word of God, and beg forgiveness for mocking HIS DAY!!)

In the words of Ecclesiates: "Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God (means you're on holy ground), and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifce of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven and thou upon earth: therfore let they words be few."(5:1-2)

The saddest part of all of this for me and my family, is that God, my Father, Jesus, my Savior & Brother, and the Holy Spirit, my Discerner and Teacher were mocked and spit upon all in the name of a practical joke. This was not about "showing" anything or "proving" anything. It was about one upmanship. It was about winning. Well, folks, the WAR HAS BEEN WON!! This battle, in the eyes of some, may have been lost, but again, I say, GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!!!

Rejoice O Child of the King, for we celebrate His Victorious, Complete, and Holy defeat of Sin, of Death, of the Grave, and of Hell!! Hallelujah!! I am anxious to be Home with Jesus and my Father!! What a Great Day for the Lord to Come!!! AMEN AND AMEN!!!

Truth Rules,

Over the last three years I have been witness to things coming out of the church I would never have thought even possible. It amazes me that people who call themselves Christians take pure pleasure in doing harm to his/her brothers/sisters in Christ. You, TR, are the class example of a Purpose Driven Agitator. You need to go to pastors.com and join the camaraderie there, for you would fit in beautifully with the wolves on that website. You are a wolve. I pray that you will ask for forgiveness for what you have done.

At home this morning, my DH tried to open the Bible with his family of all females. Before he had even started, we all complained (some of us even whined!) about how we “missed church” and fellowship and good music… After letting us vent, he turned us to John 10 and began to read:

1"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. 3The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." 6Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them.

He stopped. “We cannot follow a stranger. In fact, we have run away from him!” Ah! Understanding begins to dawn on 3 little faces… and conviction on mine.

7Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

14"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd….”

“OOOOh, Daddy! We need to find some of those other sheep!”

:o)

Amazed,

TR's prank was not as clever as he or she thought. I received at least 3 e-mails after his announcement reminding me today was 4/1. Quite a few were on to it but I think some of us were holding out hope that he was not that immature. Sadly, that is not so.

But I was kind of hoping for a big announcement...that perhaps the lunch box would be removed from the shrine.

New BBC Open Forum said...

No, lindon. That wasn't it. The sacred lunch box was still securely enshrined this morning! Look, I don't have a problem with the "shrine." I just thought it a bit odd that it went from being a showcase of Dr. Lee's memorabilia to one of Steve Gaines'. Bellevue did, after all, have two great pastors in between those two. Seems they'd at least get "equal" space.

The thing about "the big announcement" was it was coming from known staff members as well. Still, I really wasn't expecting anything unusual to happen today. I smelled a large rodent from the beginning.

And they call us "dumb sheep"?

Junkster said...

I've decided to coin a new term. You've heard of Warrenism (referring to the teachings and practices of Rick Warren) and Warrenist (a follower or Rick Warren's teachings and practices). My new word is "Warrenizer", meaning one who seeks to convert others (including established churches) to those teachings and practices.

I think most folks who are not in agreement with, or who are opposed to, Warren's doctrines and ways, would probably be content (rightly or wrongly) to pay little attention to those churches that follow the PDC or seeker or CGM models, and take a live and let live approach, just like they do with various denominations they disagree with. But what really gets people upset is the attempt to inflitrate and convert or take over an established church to move it toward beliefs and practices significantly different from those already established.

Most Baptists would not argue with or contend against a Presbyterian or Pentecostal or whatever church down the street. But if new leaders or members (or even existing ones) came into that Baptist church and started espousing the doctines and polity of another denomination, the membership would be understandably upset (if they realized what was happening). Likewise, one can see why they'd be unhappy if their church is "converted" from within by "Warrenizers".

I'm junk99mail and these are my Perceptions....

Junkster said...

koragg,
How is the single adults ministry at Germantown Baptist? Have you looked into it? I used to know some folks there who liked it, but that has been several years ago. I wonder also what's going on a Kirby Woods Baptist these days ... I used to go there a long time ago, under their first pastor.
