Crystal Ball?

Please continue your discussions here.

I was shocked to learn this morning that this little corner of Blogland is being blogged about all over.

Thanks to "bin wonderin" for that information.

Someone with the screen name "closetotheinnercircle" posted this series of comments this week raising some insightful questions and making some interesting predictions. Now, this person doesn't have the track record of "blessmewiththetruth" and "uturn" (remember them?), but if anyone has any knowledge of any of the things this person posted, the floor is yours.

This is not an attempt to spread rumors, and while it may have been "close's" intent to do just that, it is not my intent here. Please limit discussion of the issues listed to facts or at least make it clear if you're only speculating about something. In other words, please refrain from running amok.

well it looks like "bbc employee" went back and deleted all of their incremenating post.

I did want to point out to those casual observors (non-poster - I can't stand the word lurker for some reason) that it took all of about 10 minutes to expose a lie on this blog.

For all the administrations attempts to discredit the blog as being full of lies, slander, rumor. That kind of stuff is not tolerated here. We have investigated and verified and proven almost every allegation that has appeared. I can virtually guarantee that the point that "bbc employee" was making concerning Dr. Rogers having asked Steve Gaines to resign will eventually be verified as well.

AOG, we watched Dr Kennedy on TV (prerecorded of course:) - during dinner tonight. He was a blessing to us - we prayed for him and Dr Mohler and their families and will continue to do so.
Thank you for keeping us informed.

Iflyaway,

Correct but Steve Gaines words to the Deacons and to the Church on another time was that during the "Entire" month of Januaury, not just only one week...Just like last Januaury he preached all 4 weeks in Januaury.

Ok….a little Saturday evening humor.

A few moments ago I thought I was sitting in a 9:30 church service at BBC and Steve Gaines walked up on to the platform.

Reason: I was watching the football game on TV. Any way, the Cowboys just fumbled at the 1-yard line, most likely blowing the game. The fans were standing on their feet, clapping, cheering, yelling, screaming, whooping it up. I turned to my wife and asked her if we were sitting in our den or if we were at a Steve Gaines Sporting Event!

The big difference is that this was truly a sporting event on tv and not God’s house…

I automatically read my Bible now asking the 5 W's and H: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How?
I do not go to outside sources, i.e. commentaries, until I have gleaned as much from the passage as I can. Since I started studying this way, I have discovered that the "truth and nothing but the truth" has not always been given to me.
The truth surely does set us free!!

The labyrinth is a tool to use in contemplative prayer and meditation. Labyrinths are often confused with mazes. But while a maze has dead ends and blind alleys, the labyrinth has only one path leading both in and out of the center. The labyrinth is flat. One can always see the center. The destination is assured, so that the mind can be still and attentive.

Walking the labyrinth clears the mind and gives us insight into our spiritual journeys. The labyrinth does nothing on its own. It is simply a tool helpful for many people in deepening their prayer lives. Each walk into and out of the labyrinth is a unique opportunity to meet our creative, loving God through contemplative prayer.

Ace could you slow down and try to make some sense that last post had my head spinning.

Ed T. said...

Brother Ace is correct. SG preaches the same general topics in January each year. Remember him saying that last January. One was finances and he said that if you didn't want to hear one about finances, then don't come in January, because he didn't tell ahead of time which topic would be covered on what Sunday. Never heard him say he was going to preach on finances on EVERY Sunday in January. Sorry, but I'll have to side with Ace on this one. He's right. (Ouch..man, that hurts!) :)

On a side note, I did follow up on a "rumor" concerning continued work by one man to challenge Dr. Spradlin at the seminary. Support for Dr. Spradlin - at least in the form of letters and emails - is running 80-20 in Dr. Spradlin's favor, so that's great.

I was quite pleased to hear the Brother Mike kicked a couple of members of the Bellevue "Goon Squad" out of his office after one of them referred to the "old spinmeister being gone" - and rebuked them in the name of Jesus no less!!! It still disturbs me greatly that they have not honored Mrs. Rogers request and made the statement that Dr Rogers knew nothing of the PW issue. I guess I can hope that might be done tomorrow or after the "investigation", but I won't hold my breath.

Looking forward to church tomorrow....but only because I won't be at BBC, Inc. :)

I find it interesting that the bloggers who claim that this blog is full of nothing but vicious lies and rumors and gossip come back to participate night after night.

Ace,

If this blog is as evil as you claim, why do you continue to read it and post to it? You are perpetuating the same activity what you claim to abhor.

Here is my point – If you believe that this blog is sinful but you continue to read it and/or post then you are sinning by doing so.

Remember when Bevis was hooked up to the lie detector machine. He was asked what 2 + 2 equals. He answered incorrectly but the expert conducting the test said since Bevis really thought 2 + 2 = 5, it was not a lie because he didn’t know any better. Perhaps your specific case is a reversal!

If you bother yourself to read anything posted by Ace, you can see that he is an idiot and incapable of creating a logical argument. This is why he mostly copy clips comments made by other bloggers.

Don’t feel too bad Ace, you do have entertainment value, although I’m getting bored. You need some new material or I will start scrolling on by.

Anonymous said...

Goodnight everyone.

I want you all to pray for the children sitting in the worship center tomorrow who are currently being sexually abused. Conservative statistics say that 1 in 5 children will be sexually molested by the time they are 18.
In a crowd of 7,000 folks, i can guarantee you that some of them are children that are being abused.

When these children hear 7,000 adults stand up and scream and hoot and holler for a man that concealed a pedophile, it sends a message to them that nobody cares, and that adults are not going to take pedophilia seriously. It tells them that there is no one to defend them.

Stop feeding the trolls tonight. Steve Tucker and Rex Jones are just having fun in a very serious arena.

On another note, does anyone have any knowledge of a letter that was sent to all deacons from Dr. Mike Pruett?

I hear Dr. Mike Pruett has written a letter to all deacons asking that a list of all members who have slandered Steve Gaines to be gathered. Dr. Mike Prett is supposely asking that all names be brought before the church for discipline.

This should really be interesting. Dr. Mike Pruett hopefully practices medicine better than he practices being a deacon at Bellevue.

If any deacon has knowledge of a letter from Dr. Mike Pruett, please post the letter on the blog for all to see.

I think we need to get a list of all staff members and deacons who have not told the truth and bring them before the church. Oh, I forgot there isn't a way for that to happen at Bellevue.

What has the boys stirred up is the fact that they don't have control of the IMAG anymore. The era of shutting down the truth is over. Their gig is up.

May truth prevail soon at Bellevue before the church is ripped to shreds.

By the way, August had an average attendance in worship of over 9,400.

For the past two months, we could have had one service instead of two and fit everyone in.

Last week, we had 6,000 in both services combined. 2,400 in the 11:00 and 3,600 in the 9:30.

I guess there are more than 80 people that are more than just upset about our leadership.

Not even something that I would have to think about beforehand. I would honestly expect that they would be far more worried than I would be. Most of the deacons that are left at this point in time couldn't tell the diffence beteween the Bible and the Koran.

Except maybe John Caldwell and Dr. Pruett, they both know that the Bible is bound in leather and the Koran is bound in sheepskin.

Who ever heard of a church not telling their members how much money is given, how much money is in the bank, and how are we spending the money?

2020, I am really offended that you are fit to judge my spiritual maturity. Who are you to judge anyone? You do not know me in the least. I know I am saved by the blood of Jesus. I think you owe me an apology.

No because you think that steve gaines is a deep spiritual gifted speaker, who digs out the meat of Gods words and leaves one convicted of sins in their life with a desire to repent and turn away from their sins, and live Godly lives. The reality is that steve gaines gives shallow and self serving sermons and you are incapable of seeing this

I have not heard anything concerning an IRS audit. Although, I would not be surprised. There has been so much secrecy concerning the finances and it only takes one member of the chruch to sign a statement to have the IRS conduct an investigation. I am not sure if that one person even has to be a current member, I believe that it could be filed by a former member.

I'm going to have to call you out on this one. Even Dr. Rogers could not convict someone of their sins; that is the Holy Spirit's work. If God's word is read, God's word will not return void, and it is living and active, sharper than a double-edged sword. The preacher doesn't even have to be half good, and he could even say some false things, and a sinner could be convicted.

"1. The apology to Dr. Whitmire was misleading. It was never a sincere apology, in the sense that he would like for us to think. It was more of a "surrender" type of an apology. There was no remorse. No humbleness. No genuine "I'm really sorry."

I could be wrong, but I believe that after he gave his apology on stage he went to Dr. Whitmire personally and gave further explanation, etc., and Dr. Whitmire accepted the apology (it was different than the first apology he had given Dr. Whitmire, which seemed like a "surrender" one). Either way we have to remember that only Jesus knows what is in man (John 2:25).

I'm still trying to catch up on my reading, but I just saw where I've been accused of posting under different screen names tonight. I assure you that isn't the case. I don't have time or care to participate in such nonsense.

As for "ju's" post about the helicopter photo, that is correct. There was, however, nothing sinister about it as he implied. Maybe "ju" would like to share some of his conspiracy theories about SG and PW and how he thinks SG is a man who obviously doesn't spend time in prayer. Or at least that's what he told me.

I think I'll go take the trash out now.

I am pretty sure I missed the part of the Bible that say we are only to forgive when it is "warranted".

2020, are you just going to dismiss my posting requesting an apology for judging my spiritual maturity?

This was posted to http://coffeetradernews.blogspot.com/

"If I might ask...Are you personal friends of the Williams? Your characterization of him as an "unrepentant pedophile who posed as a minister of prayer for 17 years" is inflammatory. At least put the facts as you know them, not as you speculate. At least realize that a confession of sin was made and ask yourself if you actually know the condition of his heart...repentant or unrepentant...on what basis do you post your conclusions? Consider that he actually HAS repented of his sin. I think one thing is VERY likely...all others who walk around Bellevue with a sin in their past (or present) like this will now be even less compelled to confess it, repent of it, and seek healing and restoration from the body. Maybe these blogs will encourage others to go on hiding a sin of this nature and even other sins as well. "

Is this not the saddest thing you have ever read? If only...if only this passion was saved for the victims!

I am never ceased to be amazed at the biblical ignorance in our land! Perhaps we should have Ted Haggard counsel Homosexuals who are coming out of their sin? I mean, he repented on paper, right? I mean, I am sure he was GOING to repent before he was outed, right?

Phil413, maybe he went to apologize again because Whitmire wasn;t in attendance when he made the apology publicly????

Do you believe that steve gaines' sermons are insightful or selfserving ,answer that and you answer your own question.

2020,
"graceupongrace
Do you find steve gaines's sermons insightful or selfserving???"

There have been many occasions where I have greatly benefited from Dr. Gaines sermons. I appreciated his distinction between "provider" and "provision" made in his Thanksgiving sermon; or his quote about the safety net in the Blessed Assurance sermon, to give two recent examples.

I also am not seeing the connections some people make in Dr. Gaines sermons, e.g., connecting how Joseph dealt with Mary forgivingly to how we should be forgiving to Rev. Williams? I didn't ever hear him say that in the sermon. And by the way, that exposition wasn't out in left field. Go read Matthew Henry's commentary on Matthew 1, and it's a point he drives home.

With that said, I think it could be argued that his sermons are self-serving at times. E.g., there's a sermon on forgiveness in a couple weeks. With that said... let's be honest, is forgiveness not something that Scripture teachers? Even if Dr. Gaines motives are not pure in preaching (and I personally prefer expositional preaching - going straight through a book, as he is actually doing on Sunday Nights with Sermon on the Mount, but not on Sunday mornings) - we must remember God's word will not return void and is living and active. It will accomplish what it set out to do.

sorry for the tone on that. It is late and I am tired.

I stand by the content of what I said, but I swear it did not sound so rude in my head.

2020, since I gave no opinion on his yet to be preached sermon or his posted outline, your question is irrelavant.

Good evening... er, I guess morning now... to you lindon. I posted something agreeing with your stance on lawsuits among believers on my blog (which you can get to by clicking on my name).

Anyone can be taught to preach. You could take an actor that is a professed athiest and train him to preach a sermon straight from the Word.

Does that make it right to fill the pulpit with this actor? God's word will not return void but that doesn't make it right to have a man behind the pulpit that lacks integrity.

I'm off to bed so I can SIT through another selfserving sermon tomorrow and for you SG supporters I will be sitting when you all give SG those hero worshipping standing "O"'s .

Forgiveness is always warranted. period. Jesus forgave those that were crucifying him as it happened. I don't think they apologized at all.

You don't have to want him as your pastor, but you should still forgive him.

You said alot about yourself to me. First by questioning to know my spiritual maturity, then refusing to even consider an apology to me.

I have tried to stay respectful on this site, trying to be clear, respectful and not argumentative when I post.

I am shocked that more people have not spoke up to your post. guess that says alot huh?

Just wanted to say that I highly appreciate your non-argumentative, respectful tone in posting.

allofgrace, I agree. The person I can say with 100% certainity is going to Heaven is me. Same as anyone else on here. People can all say they are saved, but you yourself, is the only one that truly knows.
Which is why people to not need to be saying things like 2020 did to me, and when I stated I was offended and asked for an apology, they totally ignored it. Says alot to me.

"Memphis, I really thought you were smarter than that."

Respectfully, I disagree. I know of no other way to take that remark.

I would think that my post to you in the first place was a logical one, and one that I would expect a pastor to do. To not rely on word of mouth about the public apology to him and I would expect him to also make a personal apology as well.

I agree 110%!!! The victims, especially the children who have been molested, are really the ones watching the actions of the members and leaders of BBC. For those who support SG actions, please ask yourself the question, "If my child, grandchild, niece, nephew, ect. were abused, would I continue to support SG??"I pray that God heals the children and they aren't discouraged by the standing ovations!!!

It's sad that all my posts were deleted from yesterday and yet the hurtful things said towards me still remain there. I don't understand why all my comments were deleted but the other mean stuff were kept...it doesn't make sense. Could anyone please explain this to me? I'm being sincere here.

I brought up some points of interest for everyone yesterday correcting some incorrect information posted by 'Member' and now because my posts were deleted, people will believe those lies. Why do the lies remain but the truth is deleted? I'm really curious here.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out here.

Hello all!
I have been reading this blog for quite a while and almost always agree with 'the remnant'. I do not consider myself a "lurker". There are many reasons people would want to stay informed but not post and I think that term should be prayerfully reconsidered (if my negative association is indeed correct that is).

All this being said I have a few ideas I have come up with.

To those of the remnant considering leaving because of this debacle, please don't. Bellevue has a wonderful history. We are friends to the family and a family of friends. I can attest to this. As Christ's bride, there is no reason to make all those mindless lemmings happy and leave. If anyone should leave, it should not be the bride, but the culture crashing Warren-ites who seek to defile the bride. (or stay and repent while we wait on God to bring us His appointed man.

Secondly, forgiveness for Pastor Gaines and PW is only our business when it comes to non law-breaking sins, once someone breaks the law it is a matter fot the justice system to figure out. There is absolutely no reason SG should be allowed to stay. He has harbored a a man who preys on children. Our "forgiveness" as Christians is really only of concern to God. If we are to forgive them (give them a mulligan maybe) we should also start emptying death row because lots of them want to be forgiven due to religious conversion-where's their mulligan?

Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I will converse with anyone who desires it.

oh,by the way, is anyone else aware that the technology used to verify attendance is now being used to identify "dissenters" and that one was spotted Sunday morning taking pictures during the service of empty sections. Part of the goon squad was then dispatched to stop him and offered," I wish God would smite that website to Hell ". There are so many more of us than they have a clue. Do you think they're starting to get that?
