  2. They're completely serious. The original can be found on MorningStar Ministries' website. MorningStar is Rick Joyner's organization.

  3. Rick Joyner is one of three men who are working to "restore" Todd Bentley to the ministry. The author of this article was accused by Joyner (link is in the article)... "Lee, I love some of the things you write, but I also feel that some are straight from the mouth of the accuser. I do think you have done at least as much damage to the church as Todd's fall has by your unrighteous and unfair judgments. I don't think you have earned the credentials for it, and you're putting yourself in far more jeopardy by trying to be such a self-appointed judge."

How many times have we heard something like this?

  4. NASS, where did this performance take place? Wherever it occurred, it is NOT of the HOLY Spirit whatever they want to call it. Our HOLY God is a God of decency and order. I'm amazed that so many people can be so deceived. Yes, the days are growing darker - within the church as well as in the culture.

  5. The next thing you know churches will be taking money from the government to allow early voting.

It's amazing how low leadership will go when it comes to money.

  8. I cannot understand the mentality of some people. Here we have a convicted pedophile as a minister and now an admitted adulterer. Does anyone else but me see something wrong with this?

Trust me if Christ was truly dead He would be coming of the grave for sure over this. What is going on with our churches? Are we becoming the next WWE? Why is it we can’t just preach Christ crucified, died, buried and resurrected? What about sin and conviction? Did we do away with those? Seems like we have.

I am doing a panel discussion this Thursday night at Evergreen Presbyterian, 613 University Avenue, Memphis 38107. It is called: Understanding and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse in the Church. We show the DVD I made in conjunction with Andrea Conte, first lady of Tennessee. It is sponsored by the Child Advocacy Center of Memphis and You Have The Power (www.yhtp.org) . Please take to time to see how the faith community should properly act when they encounter this crime in their church. I promise you won’t hear the words: “It is uncharted waters , I have never encountered anything like this before;r it is under the Blood”.

As for how we would deal with Todd Bentley can I say unemployed? There will be a minister there that will tell you can be forgiven but NEVER allowed to be a minister EVER again. Hope to see you.

  9. Viewed RUN. What a contrast between that video and Holy Ghost Hokey Pokey. A difference between light and darkness.

Well, apparently Rick Joyner, Dallas pastor Jack Deere, and California pastor Bill Johnson have no problem with it.

  12. Everything discussed on this blog regarding the sins of Christiandom boils down to this: doing what is right in our own eyes, pride, greed and idolatry. If one reads God's Word on a regular basis they are aware that we are in the Laodicean church age...the falling away time.
They will also know that God has always brought judgment on His people when they turn away from him. Check out the O.T. and how the Isrealites set up the high places to worship idols like the pagan nations around them. Then they would take their sacrifices and go into the temple to worship God. He did not tolerate it then and He will not tolerate it now. He's long suffering and always gives His people warning and time to repent, but if we don't, judgment comes. And His harshest judgment is preserved for those who lead His people astray.

"For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of those that do not obey the gospel of God?" (I Pet. 4:17).

  13. Hi Folks

Remember all the times when Donna Gaines was credited with praying that it wouldn't rain (starting with the 4th of July event)?
Well today is the Bellevue Loves Memphis Work Day again and I thinks that we are seeing the accumulation of all that held back rain all at once.

"reports indicate 8 to 10 inches of rainfall has occurred in Tipton and northern Shelby counties over the past 6 hours. Water is over many roads and homes are flooded.

Rescues have been reported in Tipton County. Showers and thunderstorms will produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain over the next 2 hours."

Does that mean "God showed up"?

  16. Tim Simpson at channel 3 put the scare's on Memphis last night.

Said this Tornado was coming right for Memphis and was going to affect 600,000 Memphians.

Turned to Channel 5 with Dave Brown and he put us at ease as the storm quickly moved past Memphis without a problem.

Now Steve Gaines is going to preach on Church Discipline putting the fear of God on the sheep. Just remember, staff needn't worry as they are all covered under the blood.

  17. This is not a political endorsement of any candidate. I'm just throwing this out there for information purposes. If you live in Shelby County and didn't vote early and plan to vote tomorrow, here's some food for thought:

Commercial Appeal > Wendi C. Thomas: Doctor dispenses a dose of hypocrisy

  18. I am not a Wendi Thomas fan. I will acknowledge she is a gifted writer but we are not on the same page politically. On the subject matter of this article, I have to say I agree with her 100 per cent. A man of integrity does not sell out for the almighty dollar. And it is rank hypocrisy to sell oneself as a family values man and own a radio station that plays music that adds to the corruption of lives in this city.

  19. In spite of my mostly different political views from those of Wendi Thomas, she has a knack for hitting the nail on the head sometimes. I like her because she's not afraid to dig up the dirt on politicians, regardless of their party affiliation, and say just what she thinks. It's especially fun when she cuts loose on Willie Herenton!

She's not afraid to tackle other tough topics either. Remember this one?
