Quote of the Last 35 Years

Well, I had a nice, long blog post on a somewhat different subject ready to publish, but Blogger ate it... so I'll leave you with what I think sums up the "Conservative Resurgence" rather succinctly.

A fundamentalist is an evangelical who is angry about something.

You have too much time on your hands - and you will be judged for your gossip, slander and divisiveness.

Oh, look. It's a drive by! Thank you for dropping in and for your kind words, Rudy. Well, I don't suppose you were being very kind. Anyway, Rudy or whoever you are, I don't know you from Adam nor you me, so signing a name to your "words" means absolutely nothing. You might as well have signed it "Steve Gaines" because that's who you sound like, but that doesn't mean you are Steve Gaines. You can call yourself anything you want on the internet because we have no way of verifying your identity.

As for having too much time on my hands... LOL! Man, I only wish! Blogging long ago took a back seat to life. Believe me, Rudy, if I had unlimited time on my hands, I have enough material to post a new article every day for the next year. And then the Southern Baptists, Bellevue, Steve Gaines, Ergun Caner, the perverts in "ministry," and all the rest would have provided another year of material to keep me writing after that. Judging by the continued actions... or inactions... of the good-old-boys network, aka the SBC, I could keep my keyboard hot for the next couple of decades. But, alas, my life demands most of my time these days. I suppose that's selfish of me, but I guess you'll just have to find your daily "gossip" elsewhere.

Oh, and Rudy? Sounds to me like you're doing some major "judging" yourself!

You accuse moi (and I assume others here) of "gossip, slander, and divisiveness." Examples, please? Here's the thing, though, Rudy. Just because you may disagree with someone doesn't make what s/he writes any of those things.
